On Saturday, Millennium joined organizers and volunteers with Cowlitz County’s Walk and Knock food drive to collect food and thousands of dollars in cash contributions. Despite the winter weather conditions, hundreds of volunteers collected 56,000 pounds of food, a 17 percent increase over last year’s contributions. Donated food is distributed through the Lower Columbia CAP food warehouse.

Millennium employees joined in on the annual Walk and Knock, delivering food by truck to one of the drop-off locations where local Girl Scouts were on hand to collect the supplies. As one of the largest food drives in the area, the annual Walk and Knock has become a seasonal tradition within the community, with many homes leaving bags of food and groceries at their doorsteps for volunteers to collect throughout the day.

As we celebrate the holiday season with our friends and families, we are reminded of the strength of our community.  Millennium is proud to be a part of the community and will continue to do all we can to build a stronger Cowlitz County for all of its residents.
